THE OGM PRESENTS: FIRE & ICE PARTY 2019

Every year The Oil & Gas Magazine throws themed Party for clients and friends who are involved in the Oil and Gas industry. Each year we try to have a creative and fun theme to our party. This years theme was …dun dun dun… THE GAME OF THRONES!!! OIL IS COMING!!

Just imagine a 1200 lb ice sculpture, artistically designed as a replica of the ‘THRONE” in Game of Thrones.  That’s what was delivered to the guests of Fire and Ice.

Our guests had a chance to sit in the throne and have their picture taken by a professional photographer with many Game Of Throne theme props available for use! The photo was then given to the people as a take home keepsake.

We had many amazing sponsors that came to cater our event. We want to thank Club One, Quidi Vidi Brewery, Spirits and Wines, Boca Tapas Bar, Affordable Limos, Fireball Whiskey, Hickman Group, Lavender Lucy Flowers, Molson Coors, Piatto Pizzeria, Universal Corporate Wear, On a Roll Catering, Volcano Bakery, Aqua Sol, Ice Block – Ice Sculptures, and Western Brewery for doing such an amazing job! We even had a Game of Thrones themed cake, cupcakes, and cookies. It was something out of this world!

The OGM, Fire and Ice Party 2019 took place at Club One in downtown St. John’s Newfoundland. The Game of Thrones theme was a big hit with lots of breathtaking and creative costumes.  The best costume was awarded to Julie Greene of Homeport Hotel – While we had many great Game Of Thrones costumes her’s was the most creative. She came as “The Infamous Starbucks Cup” that was left onset in one of the final season’s episodes. Very funny!

We would like to give a big shout out to Club One for helping us to make our party spectacular! The night was filled with lots of laughs, dancing, fun and amazing memories!

The OGM is proud to leave you with a video of some of the memories of this event.  You can also go into our events tab here to take a look at ALL of the pictures of that night. Tina Olivero

30 years ago, Tina Olivero looked into the future and saw an opportunity to make a difference for her province and people. That difference came in the form of the oil and gas sector. Six years before there was even a drop of oil brought to the shores of Newfoundland, she founded The Oil and Gas Magazine (THE OGM) from a back room in her home on Signal Hill Road, in St. John’s, Newfoundland. A single mother, no financing, no previous journalism or oil and gas experience, she forged ahead, with a creative vision and one heck of a heaping dose of sheer determination. With her pioneering spirit, Ms. Olivero developed a magazine that would educate, inspire, motivate and entertain oil and gas readers around the world — She prides herself in marketing and promoting our province and resources in unprecedented ways. The OGM is a magazine that focuses on our projects, our people, our opportunities and ultimately becomes the bridge to new energy outcomes and a sustainable new energy world. Now diversifying into the communications realms, a natural progression from the Magazine, The OGM now offers an entirely new division - Oil & Gas Media. Today, The Oil and Gas Magazine is a global phenomenon that operates not only in Newfoundland, but also in Calgary and is read by oil and gas enthusiasts in Norway, Aberdeen, across the US and as far reaching as Abu Dhabi, in the Middle East. Believing that Energy is everyone’s business, Ms. Olivero has combined energy + culture to embrace the worlds commitment to a balance of work and home life as well as fostering a foundation for health and well being. In this era of growth and development business and lifestyle are an eloquent mix, there is no beginning or end. Partnering with over 90 oil and gas exhibitions and conferences around the world, Ms. Olivero's role as a Global Visionary is to embrace communication in a way that fosters oil and gas business and industry growth in new and creative ways.
