Companies Unite To Support Mental Health Challenges, Homelessness and Poverty

When creative minds in the business industry unite, amazing things happen. Things like Hot Soup, Cool Jaz, which is a truly unique event that will support those facing challenges with mental health, homelessness and poverty. Happening this Tuesday, May 1st at the Delta Hotel St. John’s 5-9 PM  we would love to see you there!

Some of the most prestigious restaurants in St. John’s, such as Raymonds, The Gypsy Tea Room, Tavola and Portobello’s  will be competing in a gourmet soup competition. Hot Soup Cool Jazz is more than a fundraiser, it’s a collaboration of like-minded organizations that work every day to improve the lives. With the active involvement of TD Bank Group, participating restaurants, other sponsors and donors, volunteers and attendees; this fun evening has become an integral event for the Canadian Mental Health Association of NL, The Jimmy Pratt Outreach Centre, Wreckhouse Jazz & Blues and Choices for Youth.

There are several ways your company can get involved – attending the event, becoming a sponsor and donating to the silent auction. Come mingle with friends, stakeholders and celebrity servers while enjoying gourmet soups, live jazz music, a silent auction, raffles and some fun new games you won’t want to miss! Tickets are $100 each and corporate tables of 10 will feature your company name in the printed program, on your table, and will also be displayed on the seating chart. Charitable tax receipts are provided for 50% of each ticket price.

Aside from attending, you can further your brand’s exposure by choosing one of our available sponsorship levels, which range from $250 to $5,000. The complete sponsorship package is attached for you to determine which level suits your company.

Finally, we are also accepting donations for the silent auction, which allows you the opportunity to place pamphlets and business cards next to your donated item; exposing your brand to 500 potential attentive buyers. A charitable receipt for the item’s “fair market” value is also issued.

    Tina Olivero

30 years ago, Tina Olivero looked into the future and saw an opportunity to make a difference for her province and people. That difference came in the form of the oil and gas sector. Six years before there was even a drop of oil brought to the shores of Newfoundland, she founded The Oil and Gas Magazine (THE OGM) from a back room in her home on Signal Hill Road, in St. John’s, Newfoundland. A single mother, no financing, no previous journalism or oil and gas experience, she forged ahead, with a creative vision and one heck of a heaping dose of sheer determination. With her pioneering spirit, Ms. Olivero developed a magazine that would educate, inspire, motivate and entertain oil and gas readers around the world — She prides herself in marketing and promoting our province and resources in unprecedented ways. The OGM is a magazine that focuses on our projects, our people, our opportunities and ultimately becomes the bridge to new energy outcomes and a sustainable new energy world. Now diversifying into the communications realms, a natural progression from the Magazine, The OGM now offers an entirely new division - Oil & Gas Media. Today, The Oil and Gas Magazine is a global phenomenon that operates not only in Newfoundland, but also in Calgary and is read by oil and gas enthusiasts in Norway, Aberdeen, across the US and as far reaching as Abu Dhabi, in the Middle East. Believing that Energy is everyone’s business, Ms. Olivero has combined energy + culture to embrace the worlds commitment to a balance of work and home life as well as fostering a foundation for health and well being. In this era of growth and development business and lifestyle are an eloquent mix, there is no beginning or end. Partnering with over 90 oil and gas exhibitions and conferences around the world, Ms. Olivero's role as a Global Visionary is to embrace communication in a way that fosters oil and gas business and industry growth in new and creative ways.
