RealWear Unleashes Groundbreaking Intrinsically Safe Smart Glasses, Pioneering a New Era in Industrial AI Integration

In a seismic move that heralds the dawn of a new era for frontline workers, RealWear, Inc. has unleashed its highly-anticipated Navigator Z1, the world’s most advanced intrinsically safe smart glasses. The announcement, made at the prestigious Consumer Electronics Show (CES), sent shockwaves through the industry, as RealWear propels industrial customers into the forefront of the AI revolution.

    Revolutionizing Work Safety and Productivity

RealWear Navigator Z1, armed with ATEX and IECEx certifications, marks a paradigm shift in wearable technology. The IS certification, obtained after rigorous testing by technology experts i.safe MOBILE, ensures that the device is a game-changer in hazardous work environments. Unlike traditional consumer electronics, the Navigator Z1 is purpose-built for environments with flammable particulates, setting the stage for a safer and more efficient future for frontline workers.

    Global Demand and Industry Prowess

The unveiling of Navigator Z1 ignited a global surge in demand, with substantial pre-orders flooding in from over a dozen countries, particularly in the oil and gas sector. Notably, a major customer in Saudi Arabia has already placed a sizable order, underscoring the universal appeal and impact of RealWear’s cutting-edge technology.

Navigator Z1: A Triumvirate of Innovation

The Navigator Z1 stands tall as the epitome of RealWear’s relentless pursuit of innovation, offering a trifecta of unparalleled benefits to frontline workers.

    1. Unrivaled Performance: Powered by the advanced Qualcomm SnapDragon 6490 chipset with a built-in AI engine, Navigator Z1 promises exceptional power efficiency. This lays the foundation for RealWear’s grand vision of an AI-enabled workforce for frontline workers.
    2. Strategic Compliance: Navigator Z1 is now fully compliant with ATEX/IECEx certifications. In noisy oil and gas environments, with ambient noise reaching up to 100dBA, the device ensures seamless voice recognition, enabling fully hands-free operation.
    3. Modular Design Revolution: RealWear’s groundbreaking modular design allows unprecedented customization. The device can accommodate an IS-certified thermal camera and boasts a swappable battery. The highly anticipated Thermal by FLIR thermal camera module is set for release in March, adding a new dimension to industrial applications.

    Industry Leaders Laud RealWear’s Achievement

Dr. Chris Parkinson, RealWear’s Co-founder and CEO, emphasized the company’s commitment to both worker safety and productivity. He stated, “With so many consumer-grade gadgets being hyped to industry, we have delivered something truly modern and in high demand for critical work procedures. Navigator Z1 is laying the groundwork for an AI-enabled workforce in hazardous industries.”

Industry experts echo this sentiment. David Krebs, Executive Vice President of VDC, a market intelligence analyst, remarked, “Balancing worker safety while providing workers with the necessary digital solutions to enhance workflow efficiency in hazardous environments is a growing requirement and what RealWear has achieved with Navigator Z1.”

Dirk Amann, CTO of i.safe MOBILE, highlighted the collaborative effort that went into creating the most powerful smart glasses for frontline professionals. He said, “We are pleased that we have been able to make a device that has met the requirements to achieve IECEx for use in explosive atmospheres.”

    Global Availability and Fulfillment Timeline

Customers can now purchase the full Navigator series directly through RealWear’s global reseller network. Shipping has already commenced in Europe, including Germany, France, Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, orders across the majority of the Asia-Pacific region, including Southeast Asia, Singapore, and Australia, are well underway. Orders in North America, Canada, Japan, Mexico, and much of Latin America are set to be fulfilled in the coming March timeframe for C1D1 zones.

Navigator Z1 is a flagship product in the Navigator Series, alongside Navigator 500 and 520, designed for everyday hands-free work in less restricted work areas.
