Atlantic XL Exposé

Published on June 13th, 2014

Atlantic XL - Big Name, Giant Vision

Atlantic XL was founded in 2001, but its beginnings go back twenty plus years ago. The company is a part of a larger entity, XL Group, an integrated multi-discipline technology group of companies providing high technology solutions to oil and gas, petrochemical, utilities, and process industries. Founded by CEO Colin Laird, XL Group began with a vision to create a one-stop engineering company that focuses on assimilated solutions.

This vision has been adopted by Atlantic XL, who continuously works to provide a ‘process to performance’ mandate. Atlantic XL designs, engineers, and integrate solutions that focus on the process - the industrial environment where process control, supervisory and safety systems, telecommunications and information gathering are crucial to the performance.

Through this integration many of the interface problems that are often experienced are eliminated. One of our competitive advantages lies within our team. Our multi-skilled engineers and technicians are trained in a range of technologies. They are able to deliver high quality solutions to our clients at a lower overall cost.

Atlantic XL’s customer focus is primarily in Canada, where we have delivered EPC projects and provided long-term operational support. In comparison, XL Group has successfully completed projects for many international clients on time and on budget in North Sea, South America, and the Middle East.

In addition to extending our reach to the global marketplace, XL Group has also expanded its organization to meet this need. The group has reached nearly one hundred employees and five business units and continues to grow. Each business unit works independently to provide quality solutions but also works together to gain the expertise of the unit that is deemed technical expert.

XL Group is a vendor neutral company that can deliver a wide range of products and services. Our extensive experience and technical depth enable them to deliver the best solution for their clients every time.
