According to a survey by ARC Advisory Group conducted recently, Implico is currently leading the deployment of terminal automation systems in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) with a market share of 23.75%. This trend is in keeping with previous observations. Implico was named the market leader back in 2010 and 2014 in the same category according to the observations published in the previous issues of Terminal Automation Systems.

ARC is renowned as an independent market study group which focuses its results on data backed from technological innovations in specific markets, business trends, and leading providers. As a result of this, their prediction models usually reflect accurate results on five year long stretches of the market. The new study is supported by extensive primary and secondary results from ARC’s database supported by cutting edge independent economic modelling techniques.

The current issue consists of a 24-page long analysis of the market and is accompanied by a comprehensive Excel sheet providing data on market share categorised by region or the kind of service provided. In this aspect, it was shown that Implico leads the development and supply of automation services in the EMEA region with clear cut superiority. Not only that, comparative studies show a gain in its leadership position as well. This was reflected in the global positions exhibited by Implico as well, with a combined market share of 10.51% in consultation services (process optimisation and IT consultancy), making it the leader by a clear margin.

As Michael Martins, the Managing Partner at Implico went on to state, “We are very proud that we were able to maintain our market leadership in the EMEA region. It shows us that our state-of-the-art solutions are meeting the needs of the tank terminal industry”. The OpenTAS terminal management system from Implico is a complete management package for the downstream oil and gas industry whereas the iGOS system was a built specifically to help companies transfer their business processes to the cloud for a comfortable and cost-effective, flexible system based on the SAAS (software as a service) model.

      Tina Olivero

30 years ago, Tina Olivero looked into the future and saw an opportunity to make a difference for her province and people. That difference came in the form of the oil and gas sector. Six years before there was even a drop of oil brought to the shores of Newfoundland, she founded The Oil and Gas Magazine (THE OGM) from a back room in her home on Signal Hill Road, in St. John’s, Newfoundland. A single mother, no financing, no previous journalism or oil and gas experience, she forged ahead, with a creative vision and one heck of a heaping dose of sheer determination. With her pioneering spirit, Ms. Olivero developed a magazine that would educate, inspire, motivate and entertain oil and gas readers around the world — She prides herself in marketing and promoting our province and resources in unprecedented ways. The OGM is a magazine that focuses on our projects, our people, our opportunities and ultimately becomes the bridge to new energy outcomes and a sustainable new energy world. Now diversifying into the communications realms, a natural progression from the Magazine, The OGM now offers an entirely new division - Oil & Gas Media. Today, The Oil and Gas Magazine is a global phenomenon that operates not only in Newfoundland, but also in Calgary and is read by oil and gas enthusiasts in Norway, Aberdeen, across the US and as far reaching as Abu Dhabi, in the Middle East. Believing that Energy is everyone’s business, Ms. Olivero has combined energy + culture to embrace the worlds commitment to a balance of work and home life as well as fostering a foundation for health and well being. In this era of growth and development business and lifestyle are an eloquent mix, there is no beginning or end. Partnering with over 90 oil and gas exhibitions and conferences around the world, Ms. Olivero's role as a Global Visionary is to embrace communication in a way that fosters oil and gas business and industry growth in new and creative ways.
