THE ONLY TIGHT OIL WATER MANAGEMENT CONGRESS FOCUSING ON DEVELOPING STRATEGIES TO EFFICIENTLY MAXIMIZE WATER RESOURCES IN THE BAKKEN, NIOBRARA, EAGLE FORD AND PERMIAN TIGHT OIL PLAYS
As E&P activity in the Bakken, Niobrara, Eagle Ford And Permian Plays continues to rise at a rapid pace it is vital that water management strategies are driven by time and cost efficiency to ensure there is a sufficient amount of water readily available for frac operations in the US. With numerous concerns about the amount of water utilized for hydraulic fracturing it is essential that low cost, efficient reuse technologies are examined in order to sustain water supplies without public and regulatory repercussions.
Tight Oil Water Management 2011, will bring together innovators and technical directors from E&P operators across the three plays to discuss and examine the latest reuse technologies and leading strategies to re-use, source, store, transport and dispose of fresh water in order to ensure that there are sufficient supplies readily available for
fracing operations.
Day one will hear from operators demonstrating how they have chosen specific reuse technologies from Reverse Osmosis to Electrocoagulation to effectively and efficiently treat flowback water to a useable quality for hydraulic fracturing and completions. Disposal availability and disposal regulations will also be discussed followed by presentations on frac techniques and frac fluid alternatives.
Day two will examine how efficient sourcing, cutting edge infrastructure and the latest storage facilities can optimize water resources critical for hydraulic fracturing. It will also address regulatory challenges in relation to permitting for sourcing and transporting treated water. Finally this conference will end by discussing and outlining an optimum
strategy for educating media relations and community partners about the actual amount of water used for hydraulic fracturing in order to prevent further regulatory restrictions on operations caused by bad PR.
