Dear Friends of the Energy Industry!

23 years in the oil and gas industry has shown me that there are often ups and downs. While the price of oil has dropped I encourage you to take a higher position and look at the bright side of all this. It’s a time to sharpen our pencils, be more precise and shave down the excess. It’s a time to be more creative and innovative. It’s a time to capitalize on low transportation costs. It’s a time to bring your teams together to brainstorm, envision and create new outcomes. It’s a time to partner, collaborate and share resources and solutions with your industry partners. It’s time to incorporate technology to do things better, faster and smarter. It’s time for change…..

We go through these times for a reason. They make us stronger, more innovative and provide us with the skills to be peak performers. In that light, I recommend we all take as much from the experience as we can learn, modify, create, and KEEP CALM AND INNOVATE ON!

Rather than join the people who are reactive and fearful and rather than join the media in hyper-craze communication that does more harm than the actual price of oil dropping - I encourage you and your colleagues to take a stand for something much greater - The possibility of a stronger, higher performing, innovative and sustainable energy future!
