First Major North American Exhibition and Conference to be Powered by Hydrogen

dmg events, together with ATCO, Certarus and the Edmonton Convention Centre, is proud to announce that the Canadian Hydrogen Convention will be the first major exhibition and conference to be fuelled by hydrogen in North America. The event, being held at the Edmonton Convention Centre from April 25-27, 2023, will use a 20 percent hydrogen-to-natural gas blend. This will also be the first time that the building has used hydrogen in its operations. The Canadian Hydrogen Convention is invested to position Canada as a leading innovator in scalable hydrogen solutions.

Hydrogen is a safe and reliable way for the world to reduce carbon emissions and is becoming central to decarbonization plans for many advanced economies. Execution of this initiative will contribute to Alberta’s growing hydrogen industry and is one of several projects like this by ATCO and Certarus.

Certarus

hydrogen can viably be used to help reduce the carbon footprint of events such as this, and we are

The Canadian Hydrogen Convention is the largest hydrogen-specific B2B event with over 6,000 attendees and 2,500 conference delegates attending annually. Working with co-hosts Edmonton Global and TC Energy, the event brings together the Canadian supply chain to discuss hydrogen as a key enabler to reach net-zero emissions by 2050 and discuss innovations and solutions for low-carbon hydrogen production, energy infrastructure, and storage.

this size. We’ve already installed Canada’s largest building-integrated solar photovoltaic array and to now fuel the Canadian Hydrogen Convention with a hydrogen blend we continue to pioneer sustainable

The 2023 Convention will host a nearly sold-out exhibition, a two-day conference, three streams of technical courses, multiple off-site tours, numerous networking opportunities and an evening awards gala.
