Atlantic Canada Petroleum Show
Recently Tom Burke and Simon Bourgeoise of the Quebec PRUFTECHNIK location joined members of the offshore community to meet in the heart of Canada’s offshore oil and gas industry. On June 21– 22 at Mile One Centre, in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador the Atlantic Canada Petroleum show took place. It was an opportunity to get deep into the local offshore opportunities, be hands-on with new technology driving innovation in the market and network with your current and future clients, business partners and associates.
At ACPS 150 key exhibitors aligned themselves for future contracts like White Rose Extension and the exploration plays to come.
White Rose Extension Project – Wellhead Platform
Together with its co-venture partners, Husky Energy is developing the West White Rose Extension with a concrete gravity structure. The predicted 3 $Billion wellhead platform will serve as a fixed drilling rig and will be located approximately 350 kilometres south-east of Newfoundland & Labrador, in the White Rose field.
The wellhead platform will consist of a concrete gravity structure and topsides, which will include drilling facilities, wellheads and support services such as accommodations, utilities, a flare boom and helideck. The primary function of the platform will be drilling.
For the offshore supply base, servicing the oil and gas industry in Eastern Canada, this and other exploration plays make this region a lucrative place to focus on business development.
