NEW BOARD FOR ENERGY NL 2024

Energy NL is a prominent industry association based in Newfoundland and Labrador, dedicated to representing and advancing the interests of approximately 500 member organizations worldwide involved in the energy sector. 

These members operate across various segments of the energy industry, spanning from offshore supply vessels and carbon reduction technologies to law firms and human resource agencies. Energy NL serves as a vital platform for collaboration, advocacy, and knowledge-sharing within the energy sector, fostering innovation and sustainable growth.

AGM Results

At the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in St. John’s at the Sheraton Hotel, Energy NL announced the results of its member elections for the Board of Directors. 

Jeremy Whittle, Chief Operating Officer of Crosbie, assumed the position of Chair of the Board for a one-year term. 

Richard Mandeville, Vice President of Subsea – Canada & Country Manager for TechnipFMC, was acclaimed as Vice Chair. 

Stephanie Gruchy, Director of Business Strategy & Development – Services, Maintenance & Marine at Pennecon Limited, was elected Treasurer.

Eight candidates contested for five vacant positions of Director, each serving a two-year term. The successful candidates elected as Directors are:

• Erin Gillis – Director, Business Development & Client Relations, DF Barnes;

• Beth McGrath – Partner, McInnes Cooper

• Gillian Pearson – Director of Client Relations & Corporate Communications, Robot

• Stephen Penton – Director, Engineering Consultancy, Aker Solutions Canada

• Andrew Short – Chief Operations Officer, Integrated Logistics

During the AGM, Energy NL also acknowledged the outgoing board members for their dedicated service:

Christian Somerton (Deacon Investments) as Past Chair, 

Sheldon Lace (Atlantic Towing) as Treasurer,

Jennifer Haley (Aker Solutions Canada) as Director.
