ESTEEM Women

ESTEEM (Educational Science, Trades, Engineering, Exploration and Mentoring programs for girls and women) was created to encourage young women to enter and remain in the Skilled Trades, Engineering and Technology fields. Esteem partners with various community organizations, educational institutions and industry partners to provide girls with educational opportunities that will help increase their knowledge about careers in the natural resource sector plus support them in their career choice. Esteem offers two programs: Building with Becky – introduces girls to skilled trades through hands on activities. Go SETT – (Girls interested in Operations, Science, Engineering, Trades and Technology), is a “track” program designed to provide educational support, exposure to a variety of career options, camaraderie, information, aptitude testing and mentoring – beginning in Grade 9, but also carrying on through to post-secondary education. Learn more at www.esteemwomen.com
