D3 Consulting to Undertake a new Six-Figure Contract

D3 is a specialist firm dealing in decommissioning and demolitions field. Following a successful completion of a major decommissioning project from a major firm, they have been awarded their next six-figure project for decommissioning from another operator.

The project, this time, was already started a few months ago in April 2016 and primarily consists of proper quantification of the associated assets and the related wastes and materials. The work is being done on 21 separate platforms in the Southern part of the North Sea and has eight different subsea pipelines and various installations related to it. The current contract was undertaken following a 3-month successful contract finished in June 2016, which was also related to a decommissioning project in the North Sea. As a part of the previous project D3 Consulting already had a streamlined decommissioning planning phase project ready dealing with the waste and materials inventory.

While releasing on the Capability of its firm, Martin Bjerregaard, the director of D3 Consulting said, “The team at D3 Consulting has more than 20 years of decommissioning experience, and I’m delighted that our expertise was recognised by two major operators in the industry. Our pragmatic and streamlined approach ensures that we can support these operations with bespoke solutions to facilitate safe, regulatory compliant and cost-effective decommissioning works.”

D3 Consulting utilises proprietary systems for its operations. IT is the only firm in the world to have prepared a dedicated information management system for streamlining materials inventory and waste management protocols for material generated during the decommissioning process. The Decommissioning Assurance through Waste kNowledge (DAWN) System is a premiere example of front end planning and processing of the engineering phase during a decommissioning process and has firmly helped establish the presence of D3 Consulting as a global market leader.

Martin Bjerregaard went on to state, “DAWN has been specially developed for offshore decommissioning and allows regulatory compliance in waste and materials management to be a timely and straightforward process. Outputs from the system ensure that the right waste information is provided at the right time to the right people, and ultimately provides waste assurance support for the complete decommissioning cycle.”

      Tina Olivero

30 years ago, Tina Olivero looked into the future and saw an opportunity to make a difference for her province and people. That difference came in the form of the oil and gas sector. Six years before there was even a drop of oil brought to the shores of Newfoundland, she founded The Oil and Gas Magazine (THE OGM) from a back room in her home on Signal Hill Road, in St. John’s, Newfoundland. A single mother, no financing, no previous journalism or oil and gas experience, she forged ahead, with a creative vision and one heck of a heaping dose of sheer determination. With her pioneering spirit, Ms. Olivero developed a magazine that would educate, inspire, motivate and entertain oil and gas readers around the world — She prides herself in marketing and promoting our province and resources in unprecedented ways. The OGM is a magazine that focuses on our projects, our people, our opportunities and ultimately becomes the bridge to new energy outcomes and a sustainable new energy world. Now diversifying into the communications realms, a natural progression from the Magazine, The OGM now offers an entirely new division - Oil & Gas Media. Today, The Oil and Gas Magazine is a global phenomenon that operates not only in Newfoundland, but also in Calgary and is read by oil and gas enthusiasts in Norway, Aberdeen, across the US and as far reaching as Abu Dhabi, in the Middle East. Believing that Energy is everyone’s business, Ms. Olivero has combined energy + culture to embrace the worlds commitment to a balance of work and home life as well as fostering a foundation for health and well being. In this era of growth and development business and lifestyle are an eloquent mix, there is no beginning or end. Partnering with over 90 oil and gas exhibitions and conferences around the world, Ms. Olivero's role as a Global Visionary is to embrace communication in a way that fosters oil and gas business and industry growth in new and creative ways.
